Higher Education Benefits
UNC Charlotte offers many options if you’re an employee who’s also doing college-level coursework. As a full-time, permanent employee, you’re eligible for three tuition waivers per academic year and access to a scholarship fund for staff members. College Savings
Your dependents are eligible to receive college discounts with NC 529 Plan through North Carolina’s National College Savings Program through your employment (NC 529 Enrollment code: 01117).
Fitness
University employees can enroll in the faculty/staff University Recreation (UREC) membership for $160 a year. Permanent, full-time employees may use payroll withholding for this membership.
Charlotte Athletics
UNC Charlotte Faculty and Staff are eligible for ticket benefits to Charlotte 49ers athletic events. Ticket prices are valid for current faculty & staff and covers spouses and dependents.
State Employee Credit Union
The State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) is a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative available to employees of the state of North Carolina. In addition to traditional financial services, they offer convenience services such as notary, salary advance, financial counseling, tax return preparation, car buying services and rental housing locator services.
State Employees Association of North Carolina
Membership in the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) is voluntary. Members provide direction for the association and set the annual legislative agenda. They work together to change North Carolina public policy for members, the state workforce, and at greater 9 million North Carolinians who depend on the valuable services state employees provide.

The 49er ACE Network creates networking opportunities through special programs, events, activities, community service and professional development training.
