UNC Charlotte Expanding Mental Health Support Through Employee Assistance Program
UNC Charlotte is expanding its mental health support through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), beginning Wednesday, Oct. 1. Provided by ComPsych Guidance Resources, the EAP offers confidential help, resources and guidance for personal and work-life challenges. New EAP enhancements include additional counseling sessions, a well-being assessment, live huddles, health and well-being coaching and Computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Human Resources will launch a new telework system Wednesday, Oct. 1, designed to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency across the University. All active telework agreements that expired Aug. 31, were automatically extended through Oct. 31.
Open enrollment is Oct. 13-31, 2025 for the 2026 plan year. During Open Enrollment, eligible employees will be able to enroll in or update their benefits. Changes will be effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Taking care of your health and well-being is critical. Human Resources is partnering with ComPsych Guidance Resources to provide a variety of virtual wellness workshops for Charlotte employees this semester. All employees are encouraged to sign up and take advantage of these free workshops.
For the seventh year in a row, UNC Charlotte has been named to the “2025 America’s Best Employers by State” list by Forbes, which released its rankings in August. Only 100 employers in North Carolina made this year’s list, with 10 being in the education sector.
