Update: 2025 Insurance Cards

The North Carolina State Health Plan sent an email notification on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, to members signed up to receive the Member Focus communications stating the health plan ID cards received in November for those enrolled in the 70/30 and 80/20 plans administered by Aetna included an error. UNC Charlotte received confirmation that the error was specific to the RXBIN number. The correct RXBIN number should be 004336, not 0044336; please see the sample photo.

Members should have received a corrected ID card from Aetna in December or January; please discard the ID card received in November. Effective Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, all members must use their corrected card (RXBIN number 004336) for all medical and pharmacy services. The 2024 ID card will no longer work.

Please verify that you have the correct ID card. If you have not received the new card, you can enroll in the Aetna portal to print a copy of your card and request another one be mailed to you.
