First Cohort of Campus Leaders Earn LEADing What’s Next Certificate

Twenty-two campus leaders recently earned a LEADing What’s Next Certificate, offered through human resources. Members of the inaugural spring 2025 cohort successfully completed at least five of seven leadership skills training sessions presented by the learning and organizational development team to enhance their leadership effectiveness as managers and supervisors. 

Topics covered through the certificate program included effective communications, conflict management, delegation, accountability, employee well-being and other crucial areas, all within a collaborative peer-learning environment.

More about the LEADing What’s Next Certificate Program

The cohort-based leadership development curriculum designed for Charlotte supervisors and managers focuses on enhancing critical leadership soft skills, equipping participants with the tools and knowledge they need to be successful and impactful leaders. The sessions are delivered in a cohort format to foster peer learning and networking among campus leaders. To earn a certificate, participants must complete at least five of the seven offered courses; these courses include:

  • Meeting Mastery: Running Productive and Effective Meetings
  • Resolving Conflict: Building Relationships for Managers
  • Building a Culture of Accountability
