FY 2024-25 Legislative Pay Increases

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to share that we have received guidance from the UNC System to implement the approved FY 2024-25 legislative pay increase, and we are moving to process the increases as quickly as possible. As a reminder, this pay increase is the second of those passed in the last biennial budget. We are grateful to lawmakers for approving the largest salary increase since 2007.

Here is the latest information and what you can expect:

  • The pay increase of 3% will be in the July 31, 2024, payroll.
  • This raise will be across the board for all eligible employees. To be eligible, employees must be employed by the University on June 30, 2024.
  • The pay increase will be calculated based on your salary as of June 30, 2024.
  • The pay increase will be retroactive to July 1, 2024, and the July 31, 2024, payroll will include the back pay for the first half of July.
