Teresa M. Shook

Teresa is responsible for centrally processing all on-campus student employment actions including Federal Work-Study, Student Temporary Wage, and Graduate/Undergraduate Assistantships. She reviews approximately 12,000 student assignments annually to ensure that our student workforce is complying with enrollment, I-9, and onboarding requirements.

Teresa originally joined the UNC System Human Resources 2002. She has served at UNC Charlotte as the HR Student Employment Specialist from December 2010 to the present. Prior to UNC Charlotte, Teresa served at East Carolina University as the HR Business Manager from March 2002 – September 2010.

She is married to Will and has one son and two grandchildren. Teresa loves her family, friends, traveling to new places and fabulous food.
