Kimberly is a learning and development specialist in Human Resources at UNC Charlotte. She is the program manager for key programs such as New Employee Orientation (NEO), Campus Connection Events (CCE), the Professional Administrator Certification (PAC) and ASPIRE. She assists facilitators with any of the Learning and Development Portal features including working with over 75 campus subject matter experts annually to program the Portal session calendar. Barrett consults on the budget, materials management and maintains team communication efforts to the campus as the liaison to University Communications.
Kimberly began her career at UNC Charlotte in November 2021. She comes from Tandem Health in Sumter, SC, where she was a project assistant specializing in strategic planning, project management and HRIS system support for executive teams. Before this, she worked at the University of South Carolina as a talent and development coordinator specializing in new employee onboarding, HR processes and annual giving.
Kimberly also has experience in large meeting and event planning, budget planning, aspiring leaders’ development programs and learning management system administration. Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration double majoring in Human Resources and Marketing from the University of South Carolina.
