Karla is responsible for position management of SHRA and EHRA-NF positions, data analysis, classification review, legislative mandate implementation, and supporting campus-wide compensation initiatives.
Karla came to UNC Charlotte from Amazon, where she worked for over 2 years as a Human Resources Business Partner providing coaching and HR solutions to operations managers. She has 10 years of career experience in Human Resources and 5 years of experience as a professor in public and private universities teaching Human Resources, Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship for undergraduates and graduates.
Karla holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Technological Innovation from Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG and University of California Berkeley, a Master’s in Business Management from UFMG, and a Specialization in Human Resource Management from Dom Cabral Foundation – FDC. Karla holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from FUMEC University.
