Shay McLean

Shay is responsible for Benefits onboarding (counsel employees with benefits tasks such as new employee insurance, mandatory and supplemental retirement enrollment), qualifying life events, and general benefits asssitance.

Shay joined UNC Charlotte in May 2022. She completed her undergrad at Winston-Salem State University in 2020 studying business adminstation and is a UNC Charlotte Alum completing her MBA in 2022. Shay started her HR journey as a student worker at WSSU in 2017 and I hasn’t looked back.

Shay loves spending time with family and friends, baking various desserts, and playing videosgames in her free time.
