Samantha Floyd is the ADA Consultant in the Employee Relations unit of Human Resources. She is responsible for directly assisting employees with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This includes conducting disability eligibility assessments, making appropriate referrals, authorizing reasonable accommodations, connecting employees with services to help them achieve their personal objectives, educating staff members on how to support individuals with disabilities and ensuring compliance with the ADA, ADAAA and PWFA, as well as relevant federal, state and local laws and University policies.

Samantha obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2020 and 2022 respectively. Samantha has experience in coordinating workplace accommodations and overseeing case management operations related to the ADA. Within her expertise, Samantha has acquired the ADA Accommodation Micro-Credentials from the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) to further utilize her expertise and skill set in ADA related matters.
