UNC Charlotte offers eligible employees 12 paid holidays each calendar year.

*Winter Holiday consists of moving paid days for Good Friday (1 day), Memorial Day (1 day), Veterans’ Day (1 day) and adding 3 paid days for Christmas.
Notes:
- Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, will be the first paid holiday of 2025.
- Personal Observance Leave also available for eligible employees:
- In accordance with Executive Order 262: Employee Leave to Recognize a Day of Cultural, Religious, or Personal Significance, the University offers eight hours of Personal Observance Leave for eligible employees. This paid time off is designed for permanent leave-earning employees to use on a day of significance, including days of cultural, religious or personal observation.
