
Cindy is responsible for employee relations administration and provides leadership and supervision to the employee relations team, assists SHRA and EHRA employees with complaints, grievances and other workplace issues. Assists supervisors with developing and issuing appropriate communications regarding performance expectations and feedback, including disciplinary actions. Assists all University employees with ADA Accommodations. Coordinate the Flexible Work and Telework Arrangements for SHRA and EHRA Non-Faculty Employees. Coordinates and maintains various committees and forums dealing with employee relations issues (grievances, unlawful workplace harassment, etc.).
Cindy is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and joined the University after retirement in 2004 as an Assistant Employee Relations Manager.
Cindy earned her bachelor’s degree in history and political science at Arkansas Tech University in 1980 and received an active-duty commission in United States Army. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Cindy is also a trained state mediator with the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources.
